Terms and Conditions – Arctic Verge
Arctic Verge follows the terms outlined below regarding reservations, orders, and cancellations of accommodation. These terms shall be binding to both parties once the customer has paid the payment mentioned in these contractual terms. These terms apply to both individual and group bookings unless otherwise stated.
Booking via Third-Party Platforms
If accommodation is reserved via a third-party platform (e.g., Booking.com), the terms and conditions presented on that platform take priority.
Cancellations and Changes
All bookings are non-refundable and cannot be canceled or modified. Please ensure your travel plans are confirmed before booking.
During the Stay
Check-in: From 15:00
Check-out: By 11:00
The accommodation price includes breakfast and linens for the number of persons specified in the reservation. The maximum number of guests allowed may not be exceeded.
Pets are not allowed.
Guests are responsible for any damages caused to Arctic Verge or its property. The person who made the reservation must compensate for any damages, including lost keys (€40 per key). A guardian is responsible for damages caused by minors.
Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors. If smoking occurs inside, a cleaning fee of at least €300 will be charged.
All complaints regarding reservations or the condition of the accommodation must be made immediately to Arctic Verge.
Noise Policy
Quiet hours are from 22:00 to 07:00. During this time, all guests are expected to keep noise levels to a minimum, both inside and outside the accommodation.
Loud music, shouting, or other disruptive noises are not allowed. Guests who do not comply will receive warnings. If the disturbance continues, they may be asked to leave without a refund.
Our building has a charming, cozy atmosphere, but due to its structure, sound can carry more easily. To ensure a comfortable stay for all our guests, we kindly ask everyone to be mindful of noise levels and respect our quiet hours. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
Damage and Liability
Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the room or property of Arctic Verge.
Arctic Verge is not responsible for valuables stored in the room.
Arctic Verge is not responsible for damage to or disappearance of vehicles parked in the guest parking area or valuables inside the vehicle. The parking area is not supervised, and Arctic Verge does not assume responsibility for vehicles or property kept there.
Please note that the surroundings may be icy, uneven, and slippery at times. Arctic Verge does not accept responsibility for injuries resulting from slips, trips, or falls.
Rights and Obligations of Arctic Verge
Arctic Verge reserves the right to modify booking terms if necessary.
Pricing corrections: Arctic Verge reserves the right to correct pricing errors.
Force Majeure: Arctic Verge reserves the right to cancel or change a reservation in cases of force majeure (e.g., strikes, fires, water damage, natural disasters, war). In such cases, the booking fee will be reimbursed.
If payments are not made on time, Arctic Verge is permitted to cancel the reservation.
Rental Terms and Conditions – Arctic Verge
Usage Area
Rental bikes are for personal use within Kolari, Kittilä, Muonio, and Enontekiö, unless otherwise agreed with Arctic Verge.
Bikes must not be taken outside the designated areas or handed over to third parties.
Transport
Renters must handle the bikes carefully and ensure safe transportation if moving them.
Bike Condition and Adjustments
Arctic Verge ensures bikes are in good working condition at the time of rental.
Renters are not permitted to modify the bike. Adjustments like seat height can be made but must not damage the equipment.
Agreement to Terms
Renters confirm agreement to these terms by either:
Checking the box during online booking (legally binding, no waiver needed).
Signing a physical waiver at pickup.
Care and Maintenance
Renters must handle bikes carefully to avoid damage. Minor maintenance (e.g., fixing a flat tire) can be done by the renter but must be reported. Major issues must be reported immediately.
Damages and Liability
Renters are liable for damage due to neglect or improper use:
Frame: €1000
Battery: €500
Motor: €500
Other components: €50–€600
Normal wear and tear is not charged.
Late Returns
Bikes must be returned between 09:00–21:00. Late returns incur a €79 per day fee.
Accidents and Theft
Any incidents must be reported immediately. Theft must be reported to the police, and a police report must be provided to Arctic Verge.
Insurance and Risk Awareness
Renters acknowledge cycling risks when accepting the terms. Arctic Verge is not liable for personal injuries unless due to faulty equipment.
Dispute Resolution
Disputes should first be resolved directly with Arctic Verge. If no agreement is reached, the matter can go to the local district court.
