At Arctic Verge, we combine warm hospitality with the breathtaking beauty of Finnish Lapland. Our boutique guesthouse offers thoughtfully designed accommodations and personalized service, with a focus on providing each guest with comfort and satisfaction. Arctic Verge operates as a staffless guesthouse, ensuring privacy and flexibility while still delivering a smooth and welcoming experience for all our guests.
Quad Studio | Approx. 30 m²
Each studio is directly connected to the central hallway and also features a private entrance at the side of the building. The studios offer views of the surrounding pine forest or the front yard, which is also lined with tall pine trees. This creates a peaceful and natural setting on both sides of the building.
Each studio accommodates up to four guests and is ideal for couples, friends, or small families. The room includes two single beds and one large double bed (170×200 cm), offering flexible and comfortable sleeping arrangements.
The private bathroom is equipped with a toilet, shower, basic toiletries, a hairdryer, and a drying cabinet. This is ideal for drying clothing and outdoor gear after a day in Lapland’s nature.
Despite the compact layout, the space is efficiently designed, featuring a dining table, workspace, and built-in storage. Guests can enjoy quiet meals or work remotely in comfort.
During the main season (winter), a simple breakfast is included and served in the shared lounge, a 30 m² common area located in the central hallway. This space is also available for relaxing, reading, or enjoying the selection of board games provided for guest use.
Access to the studios is via a key box in the central hallway. You will receive your personal code by email prior to arrival.
Guests also have access to a shared sauna with shower facilities, located in a separate section of the building. The sauna is available daily from 19:00 to 20:00, but only upon request. For sustainability reasons, the sauna is not heated without a confirmed reservation.
These studios offer a practical and peaceful base for your stay in Äkäslompolo, with direct access to nature, trails, and village services.
Duo Studio | Approx. 20 m²
Our Duo Studios are ideal for solo travelers or couples looking for a quiet and practical base in Äkäslompolo. Each studio is directly connected to the central hallway of the accommodation and equipped with sound-insulated doors for a peaceful and comfortable stay.
The studios offer views of the surrounding pine forest, creating a calm and natural atmosphere on both sides of the building.
The room features a comfortable double bed (170×200 cm), suitable for one or two guests. Despite its compact size, the studio is efficiently designed and includes a private bathroom with a toilet, shower, basic toiletries, a hairdryer, and a drying cabinet for outdoor clothing and gear.
A dining table and small desk provide space for quiet meals or remote work. The room includes built-in storage, making it suitable for both short and extended stays.
During the main season (winter), a simple breakfast is included. It is served in the shared lounge, a 30 m² common area located in the central hallway. Guests are also welcome to relax here, read, or enjoy the selection of board games available.
Lobby and Sauna Facilities
Our 30 m² lobby is open to all guests and serves as a quiet and comfortable common area. During the main season (winter), a simple breakfast is served here every morning. The space is available throughout the day for reading, relaxing, or enjoying a selection of board games provided for guest use.
The shared sauna area consists of a traditional Finnish sauna of 7.5 m² and an adjacent shower and changing room of the same size. The sauna is available daily from 19:00 to 20:00, but only upon request. For sustainability reasons, the sauna is only heated when requested in advance.
These shared facilities offer a warm, social, and peaceful addition to your stay and are perfect for unwinding after a day spent in the Lapland outdoors.
